Determination of the colorants in a beverage sample by chemometrıc methods using an ultraviolet spectrophotometer

Abstract
In this study, color materials in powdered beverage samples were determined by chemometric methods using and UV/VIS spectrophotometer. From the chemometric methods, the principal component regression (PCR) and the partial least squares method (PLS) were successfully applied in the determination of the amount of sunset yellow and β-carotene contained in a powdered beverage. The results obtained with the help of applied chemometric methods are extremely fast, simple and reliable results.
Özet
Bu çalışmada, toz içecek örneğinde bulunan renk maddelerinin ultraviyole spektrofotometrisi yöntemi ile elde edilen sonuçların kemometrik metotlar ile tayini gerçekleştirilmiştir. Kemometrik yöntemlerden, temel bileşen regresyonu yöntemi (PCR) ve kısmi en küçük kareler yöntemi (PLS), bir toz içecek içerisinde bulunan sunset yellow ve β-karotenin miktar tayininde başarı ile uygulanmıştır. Uygulanan kemometrik yöntemler yardımıyla elde edilen sonuçlar son derece hızlı, basit ve güvenilir sonuçlardır.
