Effects of Seasons and Housing Types on the Fattening Performance and Carcass Characteristics of Holstein Friesian Bulis

Özet

Bu araşt ı rma, mevsim k ış ve yaz ile bar ı nak tipinin aç ı k, yar ı aç ı k ve kapal ı 8-8.5 ayl ı k yaşta besiye al ı nan Siyah Alaca erkek danaları n besi gücü ve kesim özellikleri üzerine etkilerini saptamak amac ı yla Tarla Bitkileri Merkez Araşt ı rma Enstitüsünde yürütülmü ştür. Gruplar ı n hepsine, 168 gün sürdürülen hesi süresince, günde hayvan ba şı na 2 kg karma yem ve 1 kg arpa saman ı na ek olarak ad-libitum düzeyde arpa k ı rmas ı yedirilmiştir. Besi boyunca toplam ve günlük canl ı ağı rl ı k art ışı , 1 kg canl ı ağı rl ı k art ışı için kuru madde tüketimi, arpa +saman+ karma yem soğ uk karkas rand ı man ı ve babrek-leğen yağ lar' a'ğı rl ığı ; k ış mevsiminde besiye al ı nanlarda s ı ras ı yla 209 kg, 1243 g, 6.75 kg, % 57.1 ve 4.68 kg; yaz mevsiminde besiye al ı nanlarda ise ayn ı s ı rayla 204 kg, 1213 g, 6.79 kg, % 56.8 ve 3.68 kg olmuştur. Söz konusu özelliklerin de ğerleri yine ayn ı s ı rayla sundurmall açı k ah ı rda beslenenlerde 191 kg, 1138 g, 7.36 kg, °A 56.6 ve 3.52 kg; yar ı açı k barı nak grubunda 216 kg, 1286 g, 6.42 kg, % 57.1 ve 4.18 kg; kapal ı barı nak grubunda da 212 kg, 1260 g, 6.53 kg, % 56.8 ve 4.63 kg olarak hesaplanm ıştı r.

Abstract

This research was conducted to investigate the effects of housing types three side open with no shelter, one side open with shelter and closed barn and the seasons of fattening winter and summer on the fattening performance and slaughter characteristics of 8-8.5 month-old Bleck and White bulls in Field Crops Central Research Institute, Ankara. The animals were fed 1 kg straw and 2 kg concentrates daily in addition to ad libitum barley during the 24 weeks of fattening period. During the fattening period; total weight gain, daily gain, ary matter intakes barley + straw + concentrate for one kg live weight gain were found as 209 kg, 1243 g, 6.75 kg winter group, 204 kg, 1213 g, 6.79 kg in summer group, 191 kg, 1138 g, 7.36 kg in the group housed in three side open with no shelter barn, 216 kg, 1286 g, 6.42 kg in the group housed in one side open with shelter barn, 212 kg, 1260 g, 6.53 kg in the group housed in closed barn, respectively. The averages dressing percentage from cold carcass weight and pelvic fat were calculated as 57.1 % and 4.68 kg in winter group, 56.8 %, and 3.68 kg in summer group, 56.6 % and 3.52 kg in the group housed in three side open with no shelter barrı , 57.1 % and 4.18 kg in the group housed in one side open with shelter barn, 56.8 % and 4.63 kg in the group housed in closed barn, respectively.
