Abstract
Human sciences contains a fairly large area containing a wide variety of problems. Up to from 16. century to 19. century, with the development of science, branches such as physics, chemistry, biology and geology has become independent disciplines. Issues that was included in the scientific method was found and different disciplines had developed their own methodologies. These developments had led to re-think on the basis of the social sciences. This study analyzes the problem of Wilfred Cantwell Smith’s methodology and objectivity of social sciences and religious studies.

İnsan bilimleri, çok çeşitli problemleri içeren oldukça geniş bir alanı kapsar. 16. yüzyıldan 19. yüzyıla kadar bilimin gelişmesiyle fizik, kimya, biyoloji ve jeoloji gibi branşlar çerçevesi açıkça belirlenmiş bağımsız disiplinler haline geldi. Aynı zamanda bilimsel yöntemin içerdiği konular da ortaya kondu ve farklı disiplinler kendi metodolojilerini geliştirdiler. Bu gelişmeler, sosyal bilimlerin temeli üzerinde yeniden düşünmeye yol açmıştır. Bu çalışma, Wilfred Cantwell Smith’in sosyal bilimlerin ve dini çalışmaların objektifliği problemini incelemektedir.
