Abstract
The process of receiving, interpreting and responding to environmental stimuli is crucial in children’s normal growth and development and the hearing sense can not be denied in this process. Hearing problems affect the child's speaking, social relations and psychological development negatively. However, early diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of a child with a hearing problem reflect growth and development of the child positively. Child health nurses must take an active role in each of these processes. The nurse should guide the child and the family during the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of the child with a hearing problem. It is also important that nursing care for children and their families with hearing problems be aware of the characteristicsof the care of these children and provide care in this direction.
