Özet
Bu çalışmada, siyaset biliminde elit kavramı ve bu kavrama bağlı olarak siyasal ve toplumsal olayların analizinde kullanılan elit teorilerinin kavramsal çerçevesi ışığında, yine siyaset bilimi ve siyasal iletişim çalışmalarında önemli bir konuma sahip olan retorik kavramının yardımıyla Türk siyasi tarihinin yakın geçmişine ilişkin merkez-çevre ilişkisi bağlamında bir inceleme yapılmak istenmiştir. Her dönem özellikle toplumsal olayların nedenlerini ve sonuçlarını açıklayabilmek adına, sosyolojik araştırmalara da konu olan elit teorisi, siyaset bilimi literatüründeki önemini de güncel tutmaktadır. Çalışmada, bu amaçla, 2014 yılı Cumhurbaşkanlığı seçim sürecinde, adaylığı ile birlikte seçkin-elit siyasetçi tartışmalarının da başladığı, Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu’nun, seçim sürecindeki söylemleri, söylem analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir.
Abstract
In this study, it has been intended to make an analysis for the recent history of Turkish political history, in the context of the centre-periphery relationship, within the conceptual framework of the concept of elite in political science and of the elite theories used in the analysis of political and social events, in parallel with this concept, and also with the help of the rhetoric concept which has an important position in political science and political communication studies. The elite theory, which is also the subject of sociological researches especially to be able to termly explain the causes and consequences of social events, still maintains its importance in political science literature. For this purpose, in the study, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu's discourse in the 2014 presidential election process, in which distinguished -elite politician debates were started with his candidacy, has been analyzed by discourse analysis.
