ÖzOsmanlı devletinde, 19. Yüzyılsonlarından itibaren “İl Yıllıkları” olarakbilinen “Sâlnâmeler” yayınlanmaya başladı.İllerde bir yıl içinde meydana gelen siyasi,sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel gelişmelerin,istatistikî olarak ele alındığı resmi belgelerolan sâl-nâmelerde, eğitim kurumlarına dageniş yer verilmiştir. Bu çalışmamızda,Osmanlı eğitim sisteminin bir kesitiniyansıtmak düşüncesiyle, 19. Yüzyıl sâlnâmelerindeErzurum Vilayetinde EğitimÖğretimkurumları konusunu, resmi verilerışığında sunmaya çalıştık. Belgeler vetablolarda aynı zamanda Osmanlı vatandaşıolan azınlıkların, kendi çocuklarınıneğitimlerine verdiği önemi de görmekmümkündür.Anahtar sözcükler: Salnâme, eğitim-öğretimAbstractThe “Sâl-nâmeler” known as theprovince annuals began to be published inthe Ottoman Empire from the late 19thcentury. It was given wide coverage to theannuals which were formal documentsstatistically dealing with the political, social,economic and cultural developmentsoccurred in one year of the provinces. In thisstudy, we tried to present the subject ofeducational institutions in Erzurum in thelight of the formal datas of the 19th centuryannuals with the aim of reflecting a sectionof the Ottoman education system. It is alsopossible to see the importance given to theirown children’s education by the minoritycitizens of the Ottoman in the documentsand tables.Key Word: Annual, education
