ÖzHâtif-i İsfahânî, Fars edebiyatınınmeşhur şairlerindendir. Hz. Hüseyin’insoyundan gelen ailesi Safevîler zamanındaAzerbaycan’dan göç ederek İsfahan’ayerleşmiştir. Matematik, tıp ve felsefeilimlerini tahsil eden Hâtif, MîrAbdülvehhâb Mûsevî’nin topladığı şiirmeclislerinde bulunmuştur. O dönemdeyaygın olan Hint üslûbuna rağbetetmeyerek, Hâfız ve Sa‘dî başta olmaküzere eski söz ustalarının yolunuizlemiştir. Hâtif’in Divân’ı yaklaşık iki binbeyittir. Ona asıl ününü kazandıran veisminin büyük şairler arasında yeralmasını sağlayan meşhur terciibendiolmuştur. Hâtif terciibendinde akıcı bir dilkullanmış; karmaşık ve anlaşılmazifadelerden kaçınmıştır. His family thatdescended from holliness Hussein (ImamHussein) is settled in Isfahan after emigratingfrom Azerbaijan in Safawid period. Hatef,who studied Mathematics, philosophy andmedicine, participated in poetry event heldup by Mir Abdulvahhab Musevi. At thattime, the sabk-e Hendi was widespread buthe followed the path of the old masters,especially Hafez and Saadi. Diwan of Hatefconsists of about two thousand verses. Themain reason behind his reputation andbecoming famous among the great poets ishis famous tarjı-band. Hatef has used fluentlanguage in his poems and he has avoidedcomplicated and incomprehensible phrases.This tarjı-band consists of five bands.Key Words: Hatef of İsfahân, Tarji-band and Diwan.
