Abstract

Puspose: This study aims to explore the agricultural and food policies, which grew in importance in our agenda with the pandemic, affect the small producers Design/Methodology/Approach: The main purpose of the study is to find out the attitudes of small-scaled family farmers in Torbalı against the new situation occurred following the pandemic. In the study qualitative analysis method is used, and the data obtained through in-depth interviews with twenty-five producers in ten villages of Torbalı were comparatively analyzed and various findings were reached Finding: Mostly the vegetable producers and dairy farms are negatively affected from the pandemic, however, it is found that the main concern is the structural reasons in agriculture Originality/Value: This work will be necessary to be necessary in the chain of food intake in the pandemic.

Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışma pandemi ile gündemimizde önemi artan tarım ve gıda politikalarının küçük üreticiyi nasıl etkilediğini araştırmayı amaçlamıştır.Tasarım/Metodoloj/Yaklaşım: Pandemi süreci devam ederken Torbalı`da üretim yapan küçük ölçekli aile çiftçilerinin bu yeni durum karşısında tutumlarını anlamak çalışmanın temel amacı olmuştur. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış ve Torbalının 10 köyünde 25 üretici ile `derinlemesine mülakat` görüşmesiyle elde edilen veriler karşılaştırılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Pandemiden en çok sebze ve süt üreticilerinin etkilendiği, ancak asıl sorunun tarımdaki yapısal nedenler olduğu bulgularına ulaşılmıştır.Özgünlük: Bu çalışma pandemi sürecinde gıda arz zincirinde oluşabilecek sorunların üstesinden gelmeye yardımcı olabilir
