Abstract
The modernization process that started with the Industrial Revolution created a new architectural approach and a new built environment. This architecture, produced with the claim of universality, that has ignored the cultural, historical and physical data of the context in which it already exists. This approach brought standardization and mass production in architecture. Buildings that can be built in any context and do not connect with the place have designed. Speed and technology have disrupted the temporal, spatial and cultural integrity of people.
Özet
Sanayi Devrimi ile birlikte başlayan modernleşme süreci yeni bir mimarlık yaklaşımı, yeni bir yapılı çevre oluşturmuştur. Evrensellik düşüncesi ile üretilen bu mimarlık, var olduğu bağlamın kültürel, tarihsel, fiziksel verilerinden arındırılmıştır. Bu yaklaşım mimarlıkta standartlaşmayı ve seri üretimi beraberinde getirmiş; her bağlamda inşa edilebilecek, yer ile bağlantı kurmayan yapılar tasarlanmıştır. Hız ve teknolojinin getirileri insanların zamansal, mekansal ve kültürel bütünlüğünü parçalamıştır.
