On Turkish translations of the story of the prisoner's suit, Naguib Mahfouz Evaluation from the perspective of translation strategies and equivalent translation

Abstract
The Egyptian novelist Necib Mahfuz, who received the first Nobel Prize in the Islamic / Arab world, is a prominent writer with his stories. Mahfuz, whose novels and stories have been translated into Turkish and many academic studies have been conducted, is also known in our country.Many works of Mahfuz were scripted and staged. In this study, article, four different Turkish translations of the story named “Captive Uniform” in the story collection Hemsu'l-Cunun will be discussed in terms of translation strategies and translation equivalence.
Özet
İslam / Arap dünyasında ilk Nobel ödülü alan Mısırlı romancı Necib Mahfuz, hikâyeleri ile öne çıkan bir yazardır. Romanları ve hikâyeleri Türkçeye çevrilmiş, hakkında pek çok akademik çalışma yapılan Mahfuz ülkemizde de tanınmaktadır. Mahfuz’un pek çok eseri senaryolaştırılmış ve sahnelenmiştir. Bu çalışmada Hemsu’l-Cunun adlı hikâye koleksiyonundaki “Bedletü’l-Esir/Esir Üniforması” adlı hikayesinin dört farklı Türkçe çevirisi, çeviri stratejileri ve çeviri eşdeğerliliği açısından ele alınacak ve bu hikâyenin kimi değiştirmelerle Arapça sahnelenen filmiyle mukayese edilecektir.
