Abstract
: This research was carried out to determine the opinions of RCMK and IHL Vocational Lessons teachers about the belief in deism, which is claimed to have become widespread among students recently. The study was carried out with case analysis, which is one of the qualitative research designs. In this context, it was conducted by interview method with semi-structured forms with 35 people from 7 different regions of Turkey and 4 different types of secondary education. According to the opinions of the teachers who participated in the research, it was concluded that the idea of deism has become widespread in secondary education, but this is not a conscious orientation. A significant part of the students are interested in deism because it is a popular subject. Information sources of young people who tend to deism are mostly hearsay or information obtained from social media environments, and they are not accurate and reliable sources. According to the teachers, the religious knowledge lessons in schools are not qualified enough to answer the questions of the young people who turn to deism.
