Abstract
Programs related to sports activities carried out with the participation of students in universities, both in the university and inter-university competitions, on the one hand, reveal the spirit of struggle, on the other hand, they are seen as an important tool of socialization. This review study conducted to examine sports activities and participation in sports from the perspective of Mardin Artuklu University (MAU), it has been prepared by the MAU Health, Culture and Sports (SKS) Department with the activity reports in the archives of the MAU Strategy Development Department for the 2017, 2018 and 2019 seasons and based on the data of the Turkish University Sports Federation (TUSF). Also in this study, to sports events and spring festival organizations organized by the Department of Health, Culture and Sport for both students and academic and administrative staff every season are also included. As a result of the study, it can be said that these activities specific to MAU, which are carried out by the TUSF among universities and the Department of SKS within the university, have contributed to the development of student athletes in many ways, by looking at the number of athletes and the diversity of branches on the one hand, and the organization of information seminars and the formation of communities on the other.
Özet
Üniversitelerde öğrencilerin katılımıyla gerçekleştirilen sportif faaliyetler ile ilgili yürütülen programlar, gerek üniversite içi gerekse üniversiteler arası müsabakalarda bir yandan mücadele ruhunu ortaya koymakta diğer yandan toplumsallaşmanın önemli bir aracı olarak görülmektedir. Mardin Artuklu Üniversitesi (MAÜ) perspektifinden spor faaliyetlerinin ve spora katılımların incelenmesi amacıyla yapılan bu derleme çalışması, MAÜ Sağlık, Kültür ve Spor (SKS) Daire Başkanlığı’nca 2017, 2018 ve 2019 sezonlarına ait MAÜ Strateji Geliştirme Daire Başkanlığı arşivlerinde yer alan faaliyet raporları ile Türkiye Üniversite Sporları Federasyonu (TÜSF)’nun verilerine dayanarak hazırlanmıştır. Ayrıca çalışmada, SKS Daire Başkanlığı tarafınca her sezon hem öğrenci hem de akademik ve idari personele yönelik düzenlenen sporsal etkinlikler ve bahar şenliği organizasyonlarına da yer verilmiştir. Çalışma neticesinde, üniversiteler arasında TÜSF ile üniversite bünyesinde SKS Daire Başkanlığı tarafından yürütülen MAÜ özelindeki bu faaliyetlerin, bir yandan sporcu sayılarına ve branş çeşitliliğine diğer yandan bilgilendirme seminerlerinin düzenlemesi ve toplulukların oluşturulması gibi etkilerine bakılarak öğrenci sporcuların gelişimine birçok açıdan katkı sağladığı söylenebilir.
