Abstract
The main purpose of the adoption of individual applications in Turkey is to ensure the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms by the Constitutional Court. Additionally, the individual application has other functions such as improving constitutional law and decreasing applications to European Court of Human Rights against our country. The implementation of the institution by the Constitution Court through effective exploitation, helps to act on the individuals' democratic awareness augmentation and for protection of fundamental rights and freedom against public prowess.
Özet
Türkiye’de bireysel başvurunun kabul edilmesinin temel amacı, temel hak ve hürriyetlerin Anayasa Mahkemesi tarafından korunmasını sağlamaktır. Ayrıca bireysel başvurunun anayasa hukukunu geliştirme, ülkemiz aleyhine Avrupa İnsan Hakları Mahkemesi’ne yapılacak başvuruları azaltmak gibi başka işlevleri de vardır. Başvurunun Anayasa Mahkemesi tarafından etkili bir biçimde uygulanması ile bireylerin demokratik bilinçlerinin gelişmesine, temel hak ve hürriyetlerin kamu gücüne karşı korunmasına da katkı sağlayacaktır.
