Reading Mondrian in a New Perspective

Abstract
Teosophy became an influencing factor in the birth of abstract art. This abstract art changed the aspect to art with the following century. Mondrian , who is one of the leading pioneer of this trend , became a member of the Teosophy Society and being influenced by this philosophy he developed his artistic evolution. In this article , Mondrian’s abstract art adventure is described with examples from the point of the notes he took under the influence of teoshopic ideas.

Teosofi Teosophy , soyut sanatın ortaya çıkışında etkili olmuştur. Soyut sanat, yeni bir yüzyıl ile sanata bakış açısını da değiştirmiştir. Bu akımın öncülerinden biri olan Mondrian da Teosofi Derneği’ne üye olmuş, bu felsefeden etkilenerek sanatsal evrimini geliştirmiştir. Bu makalede, teosofik düşüncelerden etkilenerek yazdığı kuramsal notlarıyla ilişkilendirerek Mondrian’ın soyut sanat serüveni örneklerle anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır.
