The electrochemical behavior of the brass electrode (Cu-Zn alloy) in a phosphoric aqueous acid solution was investigated. The effect of alternating current density of brass (200-1200 A/m2) and titanium (20-120 kA/m2) electrodes, phosphoric acid concentration (0,5-2,0 M), electrolyte temperature in (20-80 ℃), AC frequency (30-130 Hz), and for comparition the current density (20-120 kA/m2) on pure copper and zinc electrodes are considered. It has been established that by polarization of brass with alternating current with the titanium electrode in an acidic aqueous medium, its dissolve intensively with formation Cu (ІІ) and Zn (ІІ) ions.
