Abstract
The article deals with the problem of studying the role of non-verbal means of communication in the learning process of foreign students. The nonverbal side of communication, despite its importance in the transmission of information, often remains outside the field of human vision, although we intuitively know that no interaction does not pass without their participation. Knowledge of etiquette, cultural differences, features of non-verbal behavior of the Russian people creates the necessary conditions for effective mastery of the Russian language by representatives of a particular linguistic community. The article deals with the ways and methods of using gestures, facial expressions, body movements in the process of speech generation, in "playing social roles", in playing micro-scenes in the lessons of the Russian language. Special attention is paid to the active minimum of sign-mimic means, the assimilation of which is the main requirement in the formation of linguistic competence of future specialists. The article concludes that taking into account all the necessary conditions for the effective use of non-verbal means of communication leads to a full mastery of the language.
