MANAGEMENT ADVENTURE OF PHYSICIANS WHO ARE THE NATURAL LEADERS OF HEALTH: HYBRID WORK IDENTITY AND HYBRID PHYSICIAN MANAGERS

Abstract
The hybrid work identity is the hybridization of the identities that are formed by the combination of the professional identities that the people earned for their profession and the work identities they earn through their duties in the institution they are working with Since they are regarded as natural leaders in the field of health, this situation of physicians who are assigned in the management levels as well as their medical practice can be evaluated as hybrid work identity. Physicians are the practitioner of medicine and the basic element of health. And the healing power of medical knowledge makes them the natural leader of health. The effects of this situation, physicians, Turkey and many other countries, are seen in their assigned administrative positions in the health institutions. Hybrid physician management is the name given to the physicians who are in the management positions as well as being physicians in the institution. This study is important in order to draw attention to these situations of hybrid physician managers who are stuck between their medical and managerial identities. This is a literature review. In this study, it is aimed to introduce the concepts of hybrid work identity and hybrid physician management to the literature.
Özet
Melez iş kimliği, kişilerin eğitimini aldıkları meslek dolayısıyla kazandıkları profesyonel kimlikleri ile çalıştıkları kurum içerisindeki görevleri vasıtasıyla kazandıkları iş kimliklerinin bir araya gelmesiyle oluşan kimliklerin melezleşmesi durumudur. Sağlık alanının doğal lideri olarak görülmeleri sebebiyle hekimliklerinin yanı sıra yönetim kademelerinde de görevlendirilen hekimlerin bu durumu melez iş kimliği olarak değerlendirilebilir. Hekimler, tıbbın uygulayıcısı ve sağlığın temel unsurudurlar ve Tıbbi bilginin vermiş olduğu iyileştirici güç onları sağlığın doğal lideri yapmaktadır. Bu durumun da etkisiyle Türkiye ve dünyanın birçok ülkesinde hekimlerin sağlık kurumlarının idari pozisyonlarında görevlendirildikleri görülmektedir. Melez hekim yönetici, kurum içerisinde hekim olmalarının yanı sıra yöneticilik pozisyonlarında bulunan hekimlere verilen isimdir. Bu çalışma hekimlik ve yöneticilik kimlikleri arasında sıkışan melez hekim yöneticilerin bu durumlarına dikkat çekilmesi yönünden önem arz etmektedir. Çalışma, literatür derlemesi olarak kurgulanmış ve bu kapsamda, yöneticilik yapmakta olan hekimlerin mesleki kimlik anlayışlarını konu alan çalışmalar taranmış, okunmuş ve incelenmiştir. Bu çalışmayla melez iş kimliği ve melez hekim yöneticilik kavramalarının literatüre kazandırılması hedeflenmiştir.
