THOMAS HOBBES’TA İKTİDAR VE EĞİTİM İLİŞKİSİ

Özet

Siyasal iktidarlar, eylemlerinin sorgulanması noktasında tebaalarını ikna etmelidirler. Siyasal sistem içerisinde yaşayan bir birey eylemlerinin bir kısmına neden sınırlamalar getirildiğini ve bazı yükümlülükleri yapmak noktasında neden zorunluluğa tabi tutulduğunun bilgisine sahip olmalıdır. Tüm bunlar gerçekleşirken söz konusu bireyin özsel varoluşu ve bir anlamda yaşam hakkının ve şeklinin korunması iktidarın arzularıyla çelişkiler oluşturabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada Thomas Hobbes’un iktidar anlayışı ve eğitim ile ilgili görüşlerine değinilecek ve bu bağlamda eğitim ve iktidar arasında ne tür bir ilişkinin olduğu incelenecektir.

Abstract

Political Powers need to persuade their subjects at the point of questioning their actions. An individual living within the political system must have knowledge of why some of his actions are restricted and why he is subjected to fulfill some responsibilities. While all these happening the subject individual’s essential presence and in one sense the protection of right to life and modes of living may occur some contradictions against the desires of power. In this study, Thomas Hobbes' views on power and education will be addressed, and within this context the relationship between education and power will be examined.
