TURKEY REFUGEE PROBLEM AND SYRIA CRISIS EFFECTS OF REFUGEE PROBLEM

Abstract

There has been an increase in the number of people who immigrate and asylum seeker due to the increase in the violence and clashes all over the world. Turkey has been effected adversely from this problem and the number of people who migrate for asylum seeker is also increasing. Turkey threats these people in line with the international norms. The most recent example is related with the recent developments occurredbecause of the Syrian crisis. In this work, the terminology often miss used/confused is explained and the size and severity of refugee problem is analyzed. The work also touches upon how Turkey is effected from the refugee problem, especially in live with the problem’s severity/ size effects created due to the Syrian Civil World, with references to date and information acquired by the public instutions.

Özet

Dünyada çatışma ve şiddet olaylarının artmasına bağlı olarak göç eden ve sı- ğınma arayan insan sayısında artış görülmektedir. Türkiye bu durumdan olumsuz olarak etkilenmekte ve Türkiye yönelen göçmen ve sığınmacı sayısı da artmaktadır. Türkiye sınırlarına gelen göçmen ve sığınma arayan insanlara uluslararası hukuk kurallarına uygun davranmaktadır. Bunun en güncel örneği Suriye krizi ile birlikte yaşanan gelişmelerdir. Çalışmada, mülteci hukuku alanında birbirine çokça karıştırılan ve yanlış kullanılan kavramlar genel hatları ile açıklanmıştır. Günümüzde mülteci sorunun ulaştığı boyut ortaya konulmuş- tur. Türkiye’nin mülteci sorunundan hangi boyutta etkilendiği, özellikle Suriye iç savaşının yarattığı sığınmacılığın boyutu ve etkileri resmi kuruluşlardan elde edilen veriler çerçevesinde ortaya konulmuştur.
