REFLECTIONS OF CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES DIFFERENCES ON SPACE: EXAMPLE OF UZUNGÖL AND TAŞKIRAN

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of the spatial shaping of local traditions in vernacular architecture and its usage patterns. Literature review and on-site determinations constitute the working method of this study. To understand the space setup and characteristics of the traditional houses in Trabzon-Çaykara Uzungöl and Taşkıran, construction techniques were investigated in detail, and the effects on the residential modelling were investigated by interviewing the users about their life styles. At the end of the study, it has been interpreted that despite adhering to the same authentic traditional material, different types of space compositions have developed and there are differences in plan organizations. Uzungöl and Taşkıran traditional houses, which are formed by transferring the construction technique belonging to the region throughout the generations, are structures that need to be protected in terms of harmony with the environment and the use of materials that are integrated with nature.
Özet
Bu çalışmada amaç, geleneksel mimaride yerel özelliklerin mekanı biçimlendirmesinin rolü ve kullanım biçimlerinin araştırılarak ortaya konmasıdır. Çalışmanın yöntemi; literatür taraması ve yerinde yapılan tespitlerdir. Trabzon-Çaykara Uzungöl ve Taşkıran’da belirlenen çalışma alanındaki geleneksel konutların; mekan kurguları ve karakteristik özelliklerini anlayabilmek için yapım teknikleri detaylı olarak incelenmiş, yapı kullanıcıları ile yaşam biçimleri hakkında birebir görüşme yapılarak, konut biçimlenmesine olan etkileri araştırılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda aynı geleneksel malzemeye bağlı kalmalarına rağmen, ayrı tipte mekan kurgularının geliştiği ve plan organizasyonlarında farklılıklar bulunduğu özgün bir anlatım dilinde yorumlanmıştır. Bölgeye ait yapım tekniğinin kuşaktan kuşağa aktarılması ile meydana gelen Uzungöl ve Taşkıran geleneksel konutları; çevre ile olan uyumu ve doğa ile bütünleşen malzeme kullanımı açısından korunması gereken yapılar olma özelliğine sahiptir.
