Abstract

This study is aimed to analyze the working capital of the cement sector in the Istanbul Stock Exchange. In the study, working capital is analyzed in basis of the entire sector and companies in the sector, respectively. In this sense, the scope of working capital analysis consists of Calculation of working capital and ratios of current asset, fixed assets, short-term liabilities, long-term liabilities and shareholders’ equity to the total assets for the years 2002 to 2007. Movements in current assets and short-term liabilities which cause changes in working capital are just examined in basis the entire sector and all results are explained

Özet

Çalışma, İstanbul Menkul Kıymetler Borsası çimento sektörünün net işletme sermayesi analizinin yapılmasına yöneliktir. Net işletme sermayesi analizi, 2002 ile 2007 yılları arasındaki altı hesap dönemini kapsayacak şekilde yapılmış, bu kapsamda sektördeki şirketlerin net işletme sermayeleri, dönen varlık, duran varlık, yabancı kaynak ve öz kaynak oranları hesaplanmış ve bu değerler sektör boyutunda ayrıca belirlenmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Söz konusu dönemlerde net işletme sermayesinde ortaya çıkan artış ve azalışlara neden olan dönen varlık ve kısa vadeli yabancı kaynak hareketleri ise sadece sektör ölçeğinde incelenmiştir
