Abstract
This paper focuses on Jerusalem as portrayed in literary works. The topics include the following: a) Jerusalem in modern Arab poetry at the level of the Arab countries b) Jerusalem in world poetry especially Turkish and English c) Jerusalem in the poetry of Non-Muslim Arab poets d) Jerusalem in the poetry referring to the Canaanites roots of Jerusalem e) Jerusalem in the uprising poetry and f) samples of the researcher’s poetry about Jerusalem
