Abstract

Disturbances in fluid and electrolytes are the most common clinical problems amongin the intensive care unit. The aim of the fluid replacement are restoration of normal hemody-namics and tissue perfusion. But avoiding hypervolemia, as well as hypovolemia, plays a pivotalrole in the intensive care unit. Description of fluid and electrolyte disorders is very critical in termsof treatment and care. This review will focused on fluid replacement therapy and follow up fluidbalance in intensive care unit.
