Ibn al-Kabâkıbî and his Contributions to the Science of Kırâat

Abstract
Kabâkıbî is someone who is known for being the author of thereferences applied in the Islamic world and especially in the worksrelated to the shaz kırâats in our country, is compared to thefamous Kıraat scholar İbnü’l-Cezerî by the scholars in the societyin which he lives and is found more fluent, and still not wellknown.Kabâkıbî, who had been taught until the end of a certainperiod with the method he provided in the Ottoman period, cameto the forefront among the kurras of his time. Thus, we considerthe introduction of this precious person who also served in theposition of şeyhü’l-kurrâ, educated hundreds of students andcontinued teaching kırâat until the end of his life as an importantissue. In this study, the author’s students and the works hepublished were examined in the context of his life, his teachers,his scientific personality and his contributions to kırâat science.The contribution of this research to scientific studies in ourcountry will be to reveal the contributions of the founder of theKabâkıbî concept, which had been taught in the Ottoman Empirefor hundreds of years, and his contributions to the kırâat science.
Özet
İslam dünyasında ve özellikle ülkemizde yapılan şaz kırâatler ilealakalı çalışmalarda kendisine müracaat edilen kaynakların müellifiolma vasfını taşıyan Kabâkıbî, bulunduğu toplumun ulemasıtarafından, meşhur kırâat âlimi İbnü’l-Cezerî ile kıyas edilerekdaha fasih bulunan, fakat özellikle ülkemizde ismi pek bilinmeyenbir şahsiyettir. Osmanlıda da belirli bir döneme kadar vaz etmişolduğu usul süregelerek okutulan Kabâkıbî, bulunduğu beldedezamanının kurraları arasında temayüz etmiştir. Bu sebepten şeyhü’l-kurrâ’lık makamında da bulunan, yüzlerce talebe yetiştirenve ömrünün sonuna kadar kırâat tedrisine devam eden bu kıymetlişahsiyetin tanıtılmasını önemli bir husus olarak görmekteyiz.Bu çalışmamızda müellifin hayatı, hocaları, ilmî kişiliği vekırâat ilmine katkıları bağlamında talebeleri ve telif etmiş olduğueserleri incelenmiştir. Bu araştırmanın ülkemizdeki ilmî çalışmalarakatkısı, özellikle Osmanlı’da yüzlerce yıl okutulan Kabâkıbîtarikinin müessisi ile kırâat ilmine katkılarının açığa çıkarılmasıolacaktır.
