The Lāmiyyah al af'āl Ode

Abstract

Numerous qasidahs which are famous as lāmiyyah because of its rhyme lam have been written in Arabic literary. In these lāmiyyahs, most of which weresaid in basīt meter themes such as love of the prophet, advice, preaching, and sermons were generally handled. In this context, Ibn Mâlik (d. 672/1274) wrote a qasidah called Lāmiyat al af‘āl, which deals with the conjugations and structures of verbs in the science of morphology. Since more than ten interpretations were written on the qasidah, it shows that it has an important place in Arabic literature. Due to this importance, this study has been written with the aim of re-presenting the qasidah and its interpretations to the attention of today's academic world. As it is stated, since the qasidah deals with verbs in the science of the morfology and its famous as lâmiyyah, a brief definition of the science of morphology is made and the concepts of verb and lāmiyyah are also explained. In addition, necessary information about the interpretations of the qasidah is presented. The necessary information that passed at the classical sources about the qasidah and its author were given and the qasidah translated into Turkish. In this context, the qasidah has been reviewed under such headings as its name, manuscripts and printed copies, its interpretations, it's content and text with its Turkish translation.

Özet

Arap edebiyatında kafiyesi lâm olması hasebiyle Lâmiyye adıyla meşhur olan çok sayıda manzume yazılmıştır. Büyük bir kısmı basît bahrinde söylenen bu manzumelerde genel olarak peygamber sevgisi, nasihat, vaaz ve öğüt gibi temalar işlenmiştir. Bu çerçevede İbn Mâlik (öl. 672/1274) tarafından da sarf ilminde fiillerin çekim ve yapımlarını konu edinen Lâmiyyetu’l-ef‘âl isimli bir manzume kaleme alınmıştır. Manzume üzerine ondan fazla şerh yazılmış olması, onun Arap edebiyatında önemli bir yere sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu öneme binaen manzume ve şerhlerinin, günümüz akademi dünyasının dikkatine yeniden sunulma hedefiyle bu çalışma kaleme alınmıştır. Belirtildiği üzere manzumenin sarf ilminde fiilleri konu edinmesi ve Lâmiyye olarak meşhur olması sebebiyle sarf ilminin kısaca tanımı yapılmış ve fiil ile lâmiyye kavramları da açıklanmıştır. Bununla birlikte manzumenin şerhleri hakkında gerekli bilgiler sunulmuştur. Manzume ve yazarı hakkında klasik kaynaklarda geçen gerekli bilgilere yer verilmiş ve manzume Türkçeye çevrilmiştir. Bu kapsamda ismi, mahtût ile matbu nüshaları, şerhleri, muhtevası ve metni ile çevirisi gibi başlıklar altında manzume incelenmiştir.
