An Examination on Promotion Strategies in Halal Concept Hotels

Abstract
Promotion strategies in halal concept hotels have been examined in this research. It has been investigated to see which promotion strategies halal concept -which is a new trend in the sector- implements in order to compete with the other hotel concepts. In the study, document analysis -one of the qualitative research methods- has been done to get the data. Domestic and foreign academic studies related to halal concept, method of procedure in the studies, news about halal tourism and websites of halal concept hotels have been examined. The data has been obtained for being known and bringing it to the sector in the direction of things to do. In this context, it has been noticed that halal concept hotels have improved various promotion strategies. Halal concept hotels, which have important place especially for Turkish Tourism and started to take its place in the sector rapidly, has succeed to be a matter of research and investigation in the academic world of tourism.
Özet
Bu çalışmada Helâl Konseptli Otellerde Tutundurma Stratejileri incelenmiştir. Sektörde henüz yeni bir isim olan Helâl Konseptli otellerin, diğer otel konseptleriyle olan yarışında yerini alabilmek için hangi tutundurma stratejilerini izlediği araştırılmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırmalar yöntemlerinden doküman analizi yapılarak verilere ulaşılmıştır. Helâl Konsept ile ilgili olan yerli ve yabancı akademik çalışmalar, çalışmalarda izlenen yollar, Helâl Turizm ile ilgili medyada çıkan haberler ve Helâl Konseptli otellerin web sayfaları incelenmiştir. Helâl Konseptin tanınması ve sektöre kazandırılması için yapılması gerekenler doğrultusunda verilere ulaşılmıştır. Bu bağlamda Helâl Konseptli otellerin çeşitli tutundurma stratejilerini geliştirdiği görülmüştür. Özellikle Türk Turizmi için önemli yere sahip olup sektörde hızla yerini almaya başlayan Helâl Konseptli oteller, turizm akademik dünyasında da araştırma ve inceleme konusu olmayı başarmıştır.
