Determination of Attitudes Toward Technology for Class Teacher Candidates

Sınıf Öğretmeni Adaylarının Teknolojiye Yönelik Tutumlarının Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Today, rapidly developing technology is used intensively in the education process. For this reason, it is very important to determine the attitudes of the classroom teachers who are teachers of the future to the technology. The study universe of the research for this purpose constitutes the class teacher candidates who are studying at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. It constitutes the sample of the 151 class teacher candidates selected by the appropriate sampling method in the specified stage. The "Technology Attitude Scale" developed by Aydın and Karaa (2013) was used as a data collection tool in order to determine the attitudes of primary school teachers towards technology. As a result of the research which was designed with cross-sectional screening model, it was found that male teacher candidates had higher holding towards technology, and possessing personal computer had no effect on holding on to technology. However, it has been found that those who use personal computers for 6 years or more have developed a higher attitude toward technology than those who have spent less time and never used personal computers.

Özet

Günümüzde hızla gelişen teknoloji, eğitim sürecinde de yoğunlukla kullanılmaktadır. Bu sebeple geleceğin öğretmenleri olan sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının teknolojiye yönelik tutumlarının tespit edilmesi büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırmanın çalışma evrenini Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesinde öğrenim görmekte olan sınıf öğretmeni adayları oluşturmaktadır. Belirtilen evrenden uygun örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 151 sınıf öğretmeni adayı araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmaktadır. Sınıf Öğretmeni adaylarının teknolojiye yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla Aydın ve Karaa (2013) tarafından geliştirilmiş olan “Teknolojiye Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Kesitsel tarama modeli ile desenlenmiş olan araştırma sonucunda erkek öğretmen adaylarının teknolojiye yönelik daha yüksek tutuma sahip oldukları, kişisel bilgisayara sahip olmanın teknolojiye yönelik tutuma etki etmediği ancak 6 yıl ve üzerinde kişisel bilgisayar kullananların daha az süre kullanmış olanlara ve hiç kişisel bilgisayar kullanmamış olanlara göre teknolojiye yönelik daha yüksek tutum geliştirdiği tespit edilmiştir.
