Abstract

İnsan ve mekân ilişkilerini çeşitli boyutlarıyla ele alan, sentez yapan, ilişkiler kuran coğrafya, kültür ile yakındanilgilidir. Mekânın farklılığı kültüre yansımakta, kültür hem mekânı ve toplumu etkilemekte hem de bunlardanetkilenmektedir. Farklı çevrelerde farklı kültürlerin ortaya çıkması ise kültürel zenginliği oluşturmaktadır.Kültürel zenginliği oluşturan maddi ve manevi öğeler küreselleşen dünyada yeni değerler kazanmıştır. Bu yenidurum maddi ve manevi kültürel değerlerin korunması için önlemler alınmasını gündeme getirmiştir. Buönlemlerden biri milleti oluşturan fertlerin kültürü benimsemesi ve ona sahip çıkmasıdır. Diğeri de kültüreldeğerin bulunduğu yer adına tescil edilmesidir. Tüm dünyada kültürel değerlerin korunmasına yönelikçalışmalar, çıkarılan yasalar son yıllarda Türkiye’de de karşılığını bulmuş ve çok sayıda kültürel değer korumaaltına alınmıştır. Belirtilen nedenlerle kültürel coğrafya araştırmalarında ve kültürel değerlerin korunmasındapatentleştirme çalışmalarına dikkat çekmek, çalışmanın temel amacını oluşturmaktadır. Ayrıca coğrafi işarettespitinde kültürel coğrafya ve coğrafyacıdan yararlanma gerekliliğini göstermek araştırmanın amaçlarıarasındadır.
