AHMET RASİM’S GRAMMAR BOOK NAMED YENİ USUL MUALLİM-İ SARF

Abstract
Language is a factor that play an important role in expressing people’s own wishes, expectations, briefly stated their thoughts and feelings. Language provides the continuity of the society and plays a decisive function in transferring of culture of the society from generation to generation. Therefore, particular attention is given to language training in the teaching and learning process. The subject of grammar creates one of the most important steps of the language education. The number of authors studying on grammar and giving production in this field is quite high. Ahmet Rasim is one of those authors who works on this field. In this study, the life of Ahmet Rasim is mentioned and his work “Yeni Usul Muallim-i Sarf” which is the most voluminous among them and more fall on few edition is examined. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that Rasim created a work in the form of morphology by focusing on Arabic and Persian grammar. Prepositions are the most comprehensive subject covered in the article. In addition, the methods used by the author such as narration, research and question – answer applications showed that Rasim intends to produce a student – oriented grammar book.

Dil; insanların isteklerini, beklentilerini, hissettiklerini kısacası duygu ve düşüncelerini ifade etmelerinde önemli bir rol oynayan unsurdur. Dil, toplumun devamlılığını sağlar, toplumların kültürünün nesilden nesile aktarılmasında belirleyici bir işlev üstlenir. Bu nedenle eğitim ve öğretim sürecinde dil eğitimine özellikle önem verilir. Dil eğitiminin önemli basamaklarından birini de dil bilgisi konusu oluşturur. Dil bilgisi alanında çalışmalar yapan, bu alanda eser veren yazarların sayısı oldukça fazladır. Bu konuda birçok eser meydana getiren yazarlardan biri de Ahmet Rasim’dir. Bu çalışmada; Ahmet Rasim’in hayatına değinilmiş ve yazarın birkaç baskısına daha rastlanan ve içlerinde en hacimlisi olan “Yeni Usul Muallim-i Sarf” adlı eseri incelenmiştir. Yapılan inceleme sonucunda Rasim’in Arapça ve Farsça dil bilgisi konularına ağırlık vererek şekil bilgisi mahiyetinde bir eser meydana getirdiği belirlenmiştir. Eserde işlenen en kapsamlı konu, edatlardır. Ayrıca yazarın eserde kullandığı anlatım, araştırma, soru - cevap uygulaması gibi yöntemler, Rasim’in öğrenci odaklı bir dil bilgisi kitabı meydana getirme amacında olduğunu göstermiştir.
