MIDDLE EAST WEIGHTED ISLAMISM POLICY OF MUSTAFA KEMAL PASA IN THE PERIOD OF NATIONAL STRUGGLE

Abstract
Islamism policy, which is one of the policies implemented by Mustafa Kemal Pasha in order to save the Turkish nation and succeeding the struggle by realizing Misakimillî, has an important place in the history during the National Struggle Period. The fact that there is not much study on this subject directly in the literature creates the problem of this study. In this context, the aim of the study is to examine Mustafa Kemal Pasha's policy of Islamism towards the Middle East geography. In order to reach the aim in the study, the relevant literature has been evaluated, besides a general inference was made by analyzing the documents and resources obtained. As a result, it was concluded that the Islamism policy implemented by Mustafa Kemal in the Middle East had a positive effect on the course of the liberation war and negatively affected the interests of the imperialist states. Furthermore, suggestions were made for future studies as a result of the research.
Özet
Milli Mücadele Döneminde Mustafa Kemal Paşa’nın Türk ulusunu kurtarmak ve Misakımillî’yi gerçekleştirerek mücadeleyi başarıya ulaştırma yolunda cephe haricinde uyguladığı dâhice politikalardan biri olan İslamcılık politikası tarihte önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Literatürde doğrudan bu konu ile ilgili fazla çalışmaya rastlanılmaması bu çalışmanın problemini oluşturmaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı Mustafa Kemal Paşa’nın Ortadoğu coğrafyasına yönelik İslamcılık politikasını incelemektir. Çalışmada amaca ulaşmak için konu ile ilgili literatür değerlendirilmiş, ayrıca elde edilen dokümanlar ve kaynaklar analiz edilerek genel bir çıkarımda bulunulmuştur. Sonuç olarak Mustafa Kemal’in Ortadoğu’da uyguladığı İslamcılık politikasının kurtuluş savaşının seyrine olumlu bir etkide bulunduğu, emperyalist devletlerin çıkarlarını ise olumsuz etkilediği kanaatine ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca araştırmanın sonucunda gelecek çalışmalara önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
