THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERFORMANCE OF PERSONAL PROPERTIES OF ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE TEACHERS ACCORDING TO FIVE FACTOR PERSONALITY AND AN APPLICATION

Abstract
In this study, the relationship between personality traits and performances of accounting finance teachers was investigated according to the five factor personality theory which is a hierarchical classification of personality traits. Participants (n = 195) consist of accounting and finance teachers who work in Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools in Kütahya, Eskişehir and Ankara. Teachers completed a series of questionnaires with a questionnaire consisting of 87 questions and five factor personality tests based on specific field competences. Data questionnaire, descriptive statistics, Spearman correlation coefficient analysis were analyzed by statistical test. When the relationship between the educational level of teachers and the averages of the sub-dimensions of the five-factor personality trait were examined, it was determined that there was no positive or negative relationship between the personality structure and the educational status. A high positive relationship was found between the sub-items of the field competences in the sample. Considering the teacher interaction taking place in the distribution of the field courses to the teachers, it is thought that the efficiency of the course can be increased.
Özet
Bu çalışmada kişilik özelliklerinin hiyerarşik bir sınıflandırması olan beş faktör kişilik kuramına göre muhasebe finansman öğretmenlerinin kişilik özellikleri ile performansları arasındaki ilişki araştırılmıştır. Katılımcılar (n=195) Kütahya, Eskişehir ve Ankara illerinde Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Liselerinde görev yapan muhasebe ve finansman öğretmenlerinden oluşmaktadır. Öğretmenler, özel alan yeterlilikleri temel alınarak oluşturulan 87 soruluk anket ve 40 soruluk beş faktör kişilik testi ölçütleri içeren bir dizi anket doldurmuşlardır. Veri anketi, betimsel istatistikler, Spearman korelasyon katsayısı analizi istatistik testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin eğitim düzeyleri ile beş faktör kişilik özelliğinin alt boyutlarının ortalamaları arasındaki ilişki incelendiğinde kişilik yapısıyla eğitim durumları arasında pozitif ya da negatif bir ilişki olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Örneklemdeki alan yeterliliklerinin alt maddelerinin arasında ise yüksek derecede pozitif bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Alan derslerinin öğretmenlere dağıtımında alan öğretmen etkileşiminin dikkate alınmasının dersin verimliliğini yükseltebileceği düşünülmektedir.
