Abstract
There are a lot of alternatives for an article to be evaluated. A text can be indentified by examining the aspects of its language or meaning. In examining the text, the purpose and the target audience/reader of the text remain its priority. Particularly, it is very important that the texts used in foreign language teaching should prove to be appropriate to the level of the reader. The concept of readability is one of the formulas which determines the difficulty or proficiency level of the text. In recent years, a great number of studies in this area have been made in different languages. This study aims to reveal a sample application of the formula of readability in the texts which will be utilized in teaching Turkish as a foreign Language by examining the readability formula in terms of Turkish
Özet
Metinleri çok farklı açılardan değerlendirme imkânı vardır. Birmetni gerek dil gerekse anlam yönüyle inceleyerek bir tespitte bulunabiliriz.Metinlerin incelenmesinde, metinin amacı ve hitap ettiği kitle ön plandadır.Özelikle yabancı dil öğretiminde kullanılan metinlerin, okuyucununseviyesine uygunluğu önemlidir. Okunabilirlik çalışmaları, metinlerinzorluk derecelerini tespit etmede kullanılan yöntemlerden biridir. Sonyıllardan farklı dillerde bu alanda pek çok çalışmalar yapılmaktadır.Bu çalışmada Türkçenin yabancı dil olarak öğretiminde kullanılacakmetinlerde, okunabilirlik formülünün örnek bir uygulaması yapılmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Okunabilirlik, Yabancı Dil Olarak TürkçeÖğretimi, ders kitapları, metinler.
