OPINIONS OF PROSPECTIVE TEACHERS FOR THE SPEAKING ANXIETY IN LIFE-LONG LEARNING PROCESS

YAŞAM BOYU ÖĞRENME SÜRECİNDE ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ KONUŞMA KAYGILARINA İLİŞKİN GÖRÜŞLERİ

Abstract

The main purpose of the study is to determine the opinions of prospective teachers for the speaking anxiety in life-long learning process. The population of the study includes Siirt University and the sample includes prospective 674 teachers chosen by random sampling studying in the 1st,2nd, 3rd and 4th grades of Classroom, Science, Mathematics, Social Studies of Computer and Instructional Technology, Turkish of Turkish Education Department, Computer and Instructional Technology Education Department. In the study, as a data collection tool, “speaking anxiety scale” with 33 items developed by Suroğlu Sofu (2012) have been applied. In analysing the data, frequency, percentage, mean and chi-square are used. Under the titles of discussion, conclusions and recommendations, the results emerged within the light of the findings have been presented in articles and various proposals have been made based on these results.

Özet

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, yaşam boyu öğrenme sürecinde öğretmen adaylarının konuşma kaygılarına ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini Siirt Üniversitesi eğitim fakültesi; örneklemi ise Eğitim fakültesi Temel Eğitim Bölümünün Sınıf; Sosyal Bilimler ve Türkçe Eğitimi Bölümünün Türkçe ve Sosyal Bilgileri; Matematik ve Fen Bilimleri Bölümünün Matematik ve Fen Bilgisi; Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri Eğitimi Bölümünün Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri Öğretmen Öğretmenliği bölümlerinin 1., 2., 3. ve 4. sınıflarında öğrenim gören seçkisiz örnekleme yoluyla belirlenen 674 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, öğrencilere 33 maddelik Suroğlu Sofu (2012) tarafından geliştirilen “konuşma kaygısı ölçeği” uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde frekans, yüzde, aritmetik ortalama ve ki-kare kullanılmıştır.
