In the Context of Minimal Art the Relationship between Form and Meaing in the Works of Donald Judd

Minimal Sanat Bağlamında Donald Judd’un Eserlerinde Biçim ve Anlam İlişkisi

Abstract

Minimal Art emerged in order to draw attention to the object of the object, to minimize the expression, historical and symbolic meanings, and the artists of this movement to concentrate on the sculpture because of this objection to the objects and the objectivity as a reaction against the excessive preliminaries of abstract expressionism. Donald Judd, one of the pioneers of minimal art, defended all forms of expressive expression in the artistic imagination and defended the concept of objective sculpture by using simple geometric forms called "specific objects". Composition opposes the principle of establishing on the relationship between parts, adopting induction principle.

Soyut dışavurumculuğun biçime ve duyguya verdiği aşırı öneme karşı tepki olarak, nesnenin nesne olma özelliğine dikkat çekmek, ifade, tarihsel ve sembolik anlamları minimuma indirgemek amacıyla ortaya çıkan Minimal Sanat ve bu akımın sanatçıları nesnelere ve nesnelliğe olan bu ilgiden dolayı daha çok heykel üzerinde yoğunlaşmışlardır. Minimal Sanat’ın öncülerinden olan Donald Judd, sanatta düş gücü ürününe, her türlü dışavurumcu (ekspresyonist) anlatıma karşı olmuş, “belirli nesneler” adını verdiği yalın geometrik biçimleri kullanarak nesnel heykel anlayışını savunmuştur. Kompozisyonu, parçalar arasındaki ilişki üstüne kurma ilkesine karşı çıkmış, tümevarım ilkesini benimsemiştir.
