The Ranking of the Participating Teams in 2014 FIFA World Cup by Factor Analysis

Abstract
The most playing and popular sport in the world is a soccer. In this study, the ranking of World Cup is re- examined by Factor Analysis. The data in 2014 were analyzed according to the variables on the match of the teams showing their skill. Found results were compared with the results of the 2014 World Cup. Besides, it is suggested for prospective studies
Özet
Dünya’da en çok oynanan ve takip edilen spor futboldur. Bu çalışmada her dört senede bir tekrarlanan Dünya Kupası başarı sıralaması Faktör Analizi ile tekrar incelenmiştir. 2014 yılı verileri takımların maçtaki becerilerini gösteren değişkenlere göre alınarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulunan sonuçlar, 2014 yılı Dünya Kupası sonuçları ile karşılaştırılmıştır. İleriye yönelik çalışmalar için de önerilerde bulunulmuştur
