The Investigation of the Effect of University Students’ Love Styles on Marriage Attitudes

Abstract
In the study, it was aimed to investigate whether the love styles of university students have a significant effect on their marriage attitudes. In this context, a research was carried out with the participation of 440 university students, who had previously had an emotional relationship in Istanbul. Love Styles Scale and Inonu Marriage Attitude Scale were used to collect the data. In the study, data were analyzed by using Independent Sample T-Test, Pearson Correlation Analysis and Regression Analysis. According to the findings, the positive attitude of university students' love styles such as playful did not have a statistically significant effect on levels (p > .05), but statistically, on the positive attitude levels of passionate love, friendly love, logical love, possessive love and altruistic love styles towards marriage. Araştırmada üniversite öğrencilerinin aşk stillerinin evlilik tutumları üzerinde anlamlı bir etki oluşturup oluşturmadığının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda İstanbul ilinde daha önce duygusal bir ilişi yaşamış olan üniversite öğrencisi 440 kişinin katılımı ile araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Verilerin toplanmasında Aşk Stilleri Ölçeği ve İnönü Evlilik Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada Bağımsız Örneklem T-Testi, Pearson Korelasyon Analizi ve Regresyon Analizi kullanılarak veriler analiz edilmiştir. Bulgulara göre üniversite öğrencilerinin oyun gibi aşk stillerinin evliliğe yönelik olumlu tutum düzeyler üzerinde istatistiksel düzeyde anlamlı bir etkisinin olmadıpı (p > .05) ancak tutkulu aşk, arkadaşça aşk, mantıklı aşk, sahiplenici aşk ve özgeci aşk stillerinin evliliğe yönelik olumlu tutum düzeyleri üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir etkisinin olduğu belirlenmiştir (p
