A RESEARCH ON THE MEASUREMENT OF HEALTH MANAGEMENT STUDENTS' PERCEPTIONS OF GENERAL AND PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE

Abstract

Purpose: This study was carried out to determine the perceptions of the students studying in the health management department about the general and private health insurances, which may have an impact on determining health policies in the future. Methods: The sample of the study consisted of 125 students studying in the health management department of a public university and agreeing to participate in the study. The Health Insurance Perception Scale was used to collect data. The data obtained in the study were analyzed in the SPSS statistical program. Results: Since the data do not show a normal distribution, nonparametric tests were used in the analysis of the data. In the study, the average score that the participants got from the scale, which is a 5-point Likert-type scale, was found to be 3.10 ± 0.59. Amaç: Bu çalışma gelecekte sağlık politikalarının belirlenmesinde etkileri olabilecek sağlık yönetimi bölümü okuyan öğrencilerinin genel ve özel sağlık sigortalarına yönelik algılarının belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Çalışmanın örneklemi kamuya bağlı bir üniversitenin sağlık yönetimi bölümünde okuyan ve çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 125 öğrenciden oluşmuştur. Veri toplamada Sağlık Sigortası Algısı Ölçeğinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler SPSS istatistik programında analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Veriler normal dağılım göstermediği için verilerin analizinde nonparametrik testlerden yararlanılmıştır.
