Abstract
The prevalence of smoking among health professions is same, even greater than the general population in our country. Unfortunately, both knowledge and willingness of the health professions who must be a model for population in the cigarette cessation do not see adequate to influence their patients. This review is aimed to evaluate the smoking habit of health professions, their roles in the struggle with cigarette and to offer practical advices in solving this problem.
Özet
Ülkemizde saðlýk çalýþanlarý arasýndaki sigara içme oraný genel popülasyona yakýn, hatta yüksektir. Sigara ile mücadelede topluma model oluþturmasý gereken saðlýk çalýþanlarýnýn bu konudaki bilgi ve istekleri ise ne yazýk ki yeterli deðildir. Bu derlemede saðlýk çalýþanlarýnýn sigara içme durumlarý ile sigaraya karþý yapýlan mücadeledeki rollerini incelemek ve bu konuda gerekli önerilerin sunulmasý amaçlanmýþtýr
