The Importance of the Rational Drug Use Lesson in the Education of Associate Degree

Abstract

Irrational and incorrect use of drugs cause serious health problemsand increased treatment costs. Rational Drug Use trainings initiatedby the World Health Organization are spreading rapidly all overthe world. The aim of these trainings is to ensure the right drug tobe administered to the right patient, at the right time, with the rightdose, with the right period and with the right route. It is extremelyimportant to include the Rational Drug Use to the education ofall health workers including health technicians as well as doctors,pharmacists and nurses for making the mentioned occupationalgrup to have enough knowledge about and to be competent onRational Drug Use when they are graduated.

İlaçların gereksiz ve yanlış kullanımı ciddi sağlık sorunlarına vetedavi maliyetlerinin artmasına neden olmaktadır. Dünya SağlıkÖrgütü’nün başlatmış olduğu “Akılcı İlaç Kullanımı” çalışmalarıtüm dünyada hızla yaygınlaşmaktadır. Bu çalışmaların amacıdoğru ilacın doğru hastada, doğru zamanda, doğru dozda, doğrusüreyle ve doğru uygulama yolu ile uygulanmasının sağlanmasıdır.Akılcı İlaç Kullanımının doktor, eczacı ve hemşirelerde olduğugibi, sağlık teknisyenleri dâhil tüm sağlık çalışanlarının eğitimprogramlarında yer alması bahsi geçen meslek gruplarının daAkılcı İlaç Kullanımı konusunda yeterli bilgi sahibi olarak veAkılcı İlaç Kullanımının önemine vakıf olarak mezun olması sonderece önemlidir.
