Abstract
In this study, the selectivity of gillnets of 40 - 44 - 46 and 50 mm streched mesh size, which is widely used in the coastal fisheries off Gallipoli Peninsula, was calculated for bogue (Boops boops). The selectivity parameters were determined by basing on the maximum body and operculum girths. Optimum catch lengths of gill nets with 40- 44 - 46 and 50 mm streched mesh size, respectively, were 17.10, 18.00, 19.20 and 20.01 cm

Bu araştırmada Kupes balığı (Boops boops) için Gelibolu Yarımadası açıklarında kıyı balıkçılığında yaygın olarak kullanılan 40 - 44 - 46 ve 50 mm göz açıklığına sahip galsama ağlarının seçiciliği hesaplanmıştır. Seçicilik parametreleri, operkulum ve maksimum çevre genişlikleri ölçülerini esas alınarak saptanmıştır. 40 - 44 - 46 ve 50 mm göz açıklığına sahip galsama ağlarının optimum yakalama boyları, sırasıyla, 17,10, 18,00, 19,20 ve 20,01 cm’ dir.
