Abstract

The issue of Ru’yet is one of the unseen issues that have been discussed throughout history. There are debates about seeing Allah in the hereafter within the Islamic groups too. Factions such as Mu’tezile, Şîâ regard the ru’yet as impossible by interpreting evidence of transference. Based on the source of Holy Quran and Hadith, it is accepted in the Ahl al-Sunnah belief that Allah will appear to the believing servants in Paradise. However, sects such as Mu’tazila and Shi’ah deny the news that appear in the shari’ah about Ru’yet, on the basis of wisdom, in accordance with the principles of tawhid. In the discussions of Ru’yet that started with whether God is seen or not, the issue of whether women can attain this honor in Paradise was added. Celaleddin as-Suyûtî, who is one of the scholars of Ahl as-Sunnah, claims that even if he sees that women will not see Allah in general in Paradise, this situation will only happen at certain times. Ibn Taymiyya, who lived 180 years before Imam Suyûtî, states that in response to the same understanding in his own time, stating that Nasses (written laws in Islamic jurisprudince) are addressed to the community, women will have the honour of Ru’yet together with men in the afterlife. The most comprehensive assessment on whether women will see God in Paradise was made by Imam Suyûtî and Ibn Taymiyye. The general evaluations of the two scholars on this subject, which was discussed within the framework of the same Nasses are important in terms of understanding the subject. The way of interpration of these scholars in the hereafter, in which the ahl al sunnah are reasonably accepted as wajib, Show that they are not independent from the conditions of their era. Since the right to dream is an evaluation based on personality and regardless of the gender, which is not the choice of anyone, writing and discussing the subject in Kurdish is also important in terms of enriching the scientific and intellectual life.
