Some Morphometrical Properties of Corbicula fluminea Müller, 1774 Lived in Gavur Lake (Kahramanmaraş)

Gavur Gölü (Kahramanmaraş)’nde Yaşamış Olan Corbicula fluminea Müller, 1774’nın Bazı Morfometrik Özellikleri

Abstract

In this study, some biological properties of Corbicula fluminea, Müller, 1774 lived in Gavur Lakesuch as average shell weight and average lenght according to ages in terms of lenght and weight relationship wereinvestigeted. It has been found that the age distribution of Corbicula fluminea varried from I to VI. The avaragelength in terms of ages rank varried from 9.31 mm to 19.54 mm. The mean length and weight in the first age of theC. fluminea 9.31 mm in length and 0.31 g in weigth. However, the mean length and weigth in the age of VI werefound to be 19.54 mm in length and 2.33 g in weigth. Length-shell weight relationships were found asW=0.0009L2.6525 (r=0.941) and length-wideness relationships were found as G=1.0755L0.9944 (r=0.965). We havebeen determined lentic and lotic importance of Corbicula fluminea Müler, 1774 and it is stated that the destructionof this species with drying Gavur Lake is ecological damage.

Bu çalısmada, Gavur Gölü’nde yasamıs olan Corbicula fluminea Müler, 1774’un yaslara göre ortalama boy,ortalama kabuk ağırlığı ile boy ve ağırlık iliskisi gibi biyolojik özellikleri incelenmistir. Corbicula fluminea’ nın yasdağılımı I-VI arasında değisim göstermistir. Yaslara göre ortalama boylar, 9.31 mm ile 19.54 mm arasındadeğismistir. Corbicula fluminea’ nın I. yas grubundaki bireylerin ortalama boylarının 9.31 mm, ortalama kabukağırlıklarının ise 0.31 g olduğu; VI. yas grubundaki bireylerin ise ortalama boylarının 19.54 mm, ortalamaağırlıklarının 2.33 g olduğu belirlenmistir. Boy-genislik iliskisi; G=1.0755L0.9944 (r=0.965), boy- kabuk ağırlığıiliskisi; W=0.0009L2.6525 (r=0.941) olarak bulunmustur. Corbicula fluminea’nın Müler, 1774, akarsu ve göllerdekiönemi belirlenmis ve Gavur Gölü’nün kurutulmasıyla bu türün yok olmasının ekolojik bir kayıp olduğuanlasılmıstır.
