THE IMPORTANT ZOO AND AQUARIUM ASSOCIATIONS TO PROTECT THE GLOBAL ZOODIVERSITY

KÜRESEL ZOO ÇEŞİTLİLİĞİN KORUNMASINDA ÖNEM TAŞIYAN HAYVANAT BAHÇESİ VE AKVARYUM BİRLİKLERİ

Abstract

The countries by themselves are failing to protect and carry on the zoological richness. The most important reasons are the distribution of species actively whithout getting familiar with the borders of the countries where they are actively transported and the different information, conscious and action levels of the people of new countries about the protection of wild species. Also, official, illegal, conscious or unconscious hunting cause almost eradication of the wild species generations. These negative developments put the unsoluble hard problems now at the desk of governments to solve. These problems are getting harder in complex structure gaining international identity. Therefore, the governments are applying to international associations to solve these cangrenous problems of have-no-border free or caged animal species for protection of their generations at country levels. In this study, the information of the zoologic and aquarium associations to protect global zoologic diversity such as WAZA, EAZA, AZA, ALPZA and EARAZA have been presented and their importance has been recorded.As a result, the name of turkish stakeholders of these global associations are emphasized.

Özet

Ülkeler sahip oldukları zoolojik zenginliklerini tek başlarına korumada ve sürdürebilmede yeterince başarı gösterememektedirler. Bunun en önemli sebebi pek çok türün aktif taşınmayla ülke sınırlarını tanımadan yayılış göstermesi ve yerel halkların yabanıl türleri koruma konusunda farklı bilgi, bilinç ve eylem düzeyine sahip olmalarıdır. Ayrıca, resmi, kaçak, bilinçli veya bilinçsiz yapılan avcılık birçok ülkede hayvan türlerinin can çekişmesine hatta nesillerinin kırıma uğratılarak yok edilmesine sebep olmaktadır. Bu negatif gelişmeler, çözülmesi zor olan problemleri ülke yetkililerinin önüne yığmaktadır. Bu problemler, zaman ilerledikçe daha karmaşık bir yapıya da bürünerek uluslararası bir kimlik kazanmaktadır. Bundan dolayı yetkililer, sınır tanımayan özgür veya tutsak haldeki türlerin ülke düzeyinde nesillerini koruma ve sürdürebilme konusunda kangrene dönüşen problemlerini çözmek için uluslararası birliklerin kapılarını çalmaktadırlar. Bu çalışmada, küresel ölçekteki zoolojik çeşitliliğin korunmasını kendine görev edinen ve kayda değer çabalar sarf eden WAZA, EAZA, AZA, ALPZA ve EARAZA gibi Hayvanat bahçesi ve Akvaryum birlikleri ile ilgili bilgiler paylaşılmış ve önemleri kaydedilmiştir. Ayrıca, Türkiye’de bu birliklere üye olan paydaşların isimleri vurgulanmıştır.
