A Descriptive And Analytical Study Of The Necessary Components Of The Mu'tazili Intellect And Its Violations

Mutezili Aklın Mahiyeti Ve Temel Unsurlarına Dair Tanımlayıcı Ve Mutezilenin Karşı Tezlerini Ele Alan Birİnceleme

Abstract

The paper treats an important issue dominating the Mu'tazili thought, i.e. the status and the perceived roles of the human intellect, since it plays, to them, an essential role in interpreting the Shariah texts probably to the extent of giving it apriority over them. This is despite the fact that the intellect according to the Mu'tazila is defined in their own terms, and it is not a collective sort of intellect where it is approved by all schools of thoughts. So what is this intellect and its components? And is there a difference between the necessary intellect and the necessary knowledge? Is this intellect in line with the concept of intellect according to the pioneers of the Sunni school? The paper attempts to answer all the above questions and hence its importance. The methodology used in this paper is an inductive methodology dictated by the nature of this research work; however, the paper to some extent also uses both the descriptive and the analytic approaches as such methodologies are also dictated by the nature of such researches. In order to be fair to the Mu'tazila and reach satisfactory and unbiased results, the paper seeks to identify the characteristics of theMu'tazili intellect from their own books or the books of schools that were influenced by them like the Zaidis, not the books of their adversaries.

Bu araştırma Mutezile düşüncesinin temelini teşkil eden aklın konumu meselesini ele almaktadır. Akıl nasların yorumlanmasında önemli rol oynamaktadır. Mutezile kimi zaman nasları akılla çeliştiği gerekçesiyle reddeder. Mutezilenin sözünü ettiği akıldan okur üzerinde tartışma olmayan ve başkaları tarafından ittifakla kabul edilmiş külli bir aklı sanmış olabilir. Oysaki burada söz konusu edilen akıl salt Mutezili akıldır. Peki nedir bu mutezili akıl? Onu oluşturan unsurlar nelerdir? Acaba zorunlu akıl ile zorunlu bilgi arasında bir fark var mıdır? Sünni Kelam ekolünün öncülerince Kabul edilen akılla Mutezili akıl bir birine parelel yürür mü? Bu sorulara verilecek yanıtlar bu çalışmanın önemini gözler önüne serecektir. Çalışmanın doğası tümevarım yöntemini esas edinmeyi gerektirdi. Amacımız çarpıtmadan ve kelamcıların hoş olmayan suçlamalarından uzak güzel sonuçlara ulaşmaktır. Mutezili akıl kavramını sadece Mutezili literatürden yahut da büyük oranda onların düşüncesinden etkilenmiş Zeydiyye ekolünün eserlerinden yararlanarak işlemeye çabaladık. Bu tarz çalışmalarda genellikle yazar kendisini tanımlama ve değerlendirmeler yapmaktan alamaz. Okur bu özelliği Allah’ın izniyle bu araştırmada da görecektir.
