Abstract
Having a very important influence in the spread of Islam during theera o f bliss, Hz. Ömer’s preference for I slam i s important in terms o f politicalstudies. This article evaluates the narrative about Hz. Ömer’s becoming aMuslim and deals with his character and adventure of adopting Islam;furthermore, it evaluates narrative about the number of his being Muslim in thecontext o f h istorical f acts a nd it t ries t o d etermine r oughly t he d ate o facceptance of Islam.
