A CASE OF THE SELF- HARMING BEHAVIOUR CREATED WITH COMPULSIVE SYNCOPE EPISODES

Abstract
In this case report, self-harming behavioural pattern with recurrent syncope episodes in a 15 years old adolescent has been reviewed. In self-harm behavior, tissue damage can often be seen macroscopically. Whereas in this case, the extraordinary situation is possibility of occurrence of the hypoxic encephalopathyc changes with syncope episodes created by the patient, without macroscopic tissue damage.
Özet
On beş yaşında bir ergende kompulsif tarzda oluşturulan, tekrarlayan senkop ataklarıyla seyreden kendine zarar verme olgusu irdelenmektedir. Kendine zarar verme davranışının oluşturduğu doku hasarı, çoğunlukla dışarıdan izlenebilir. Bu vakada ise; sıra dışı olan durum, makroskobik doku hasarı olmaksızın, oluşturulan senkop atakları ile hipoksik ansefalopatik değişikliklerin gelişebilme olasılığıdır.
