Abstract
In this study, answers to some questions were sought that, such as (1) .how genetic engineering has developed, from its beginnings; (2) what the state r.f the art is nowadays; (3) what are the advantages, the disadvantages and effects of these studies on man. As a consequence it was concluded that, at the present level of gene technologies, especially cartagene products, should be considered wih regard to negative effects on man and other living beings.

Bu cahsmada, gen rnuhendisliginin baslungrcmdan itibaren gunumuze kadar nasil bir surecten gectigini, van Ian noktadaki uygulamalann arnaclan, avantaj ve dezavantajlan ile birlikte insan uzerine olan etkilerinin neler oldugu ortaya konrnustur. Sonuc olarak, gen teknolojilerinin vardrgi son nokta olan genetigi degistirilrnis urunlerin, insan saghgl ve diger canlilara olumsuz etkileri uzerinde durulmasi gerektigi kanaatine vanlrmsnr.
