Özet

Consolidation coefficient (Cv) is one of the key parameters in calculation ofsoil settlement rate. This parameter can be determined using one-Dimensionalconsolidation test. Prediction of Cv in fine- graded soils with different Liquid Limit(LL) and Plasticity Index (PI) is also substantial to have a better understandingof soil behavior. In the present study, two fine-graded soils encompassing abroad range of liquid (LL) and plastic limits (PL) are selected and conventionalconsolidation tests are conducted on these samples. The samples are tested usingtheir natural water content. It was observed that increasing liquid limit andplasticity index decreases Cv.
