Assesstment of İbn Kathir's Introduction About Methodology of Tafseer

TEFSİR USÛLÜ AÇISINDAN İBN KESÎR MUKADDİMESİ’NİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Many mufassir begin their tafseers with introduction. Firstly they purpose to contribute understanding of Qur`an nicely and to give knowledge about methodology of Tafseer. They also try to explain; their aims in this tafseer and their methodology which they follow up. Also Ibn Kathir wrote long introduction in his own Tafseer and he mentioned many important historical and methodological knowledge about tafseer in this introduction. We deem suitable to study about introduction of Tafsir al Quran al-Azim because of learning his view about methodology of his Tafseer and It should not be forgotten that Ibn Kathir who have important and center position in this science.

Özet

Pek çok müfessir, kaleme aldıkları tefsir eserinin başına bir mukaddime yazarak, hem Kur’ân’ın daha iyi anlaşılmasına katkı sağlayacak tefsir usûlü ile ilgili bazı önemli bilgilere yer vermiş hem de tefsirinde izleyeceği metottan ve tefsirini kaleme alma amacından bahsetmiştir. Bu yolu takip eden önemli müfessirlerden biri olan Ebu’l Fidâ İsmâîl b. Kesîr, tefsirinin başına uzun bir mukaddime yazmış, tefsir usûlü ve tarihi ile ilgili pek çok önemli konudan söz etmiştir. Biz de tefsir alanında oldukça önemli bir konuma sahip olan İbn Kesîr’in, tefsir usûlü ile ilgili görüşlerini öğrenmek amacıyla “Tefsiru’l Kur’âni’l ‘Azîm” adlı tefsirinin başına yazmış olduğu mukaddimesini tefsir usûlü açısından irdelemeyi uygun bulduk.
