In this state where sultanate was passed down by succession, there was no other option to become a ruler. In addition to this, the fact that each of the members of the dynasty that an equal right to become the ruler and the lack of precise rules about this issue led to fights for the throne. Although the Sultans are members of the dynasty, even though they are in the dynasty, there have been tough struggles to be influential and powerful in a way to have power in this state. Sultanate regens in the Anatolian Seljuk Empire had a considerable influence on the power of Sultans despite the understanding of political power in the state.
